About Us

The Crockett Foundation believes our kids deserve every opportunity to explore, engage and experience the changing world around them.

Our Mission:

Empowering Broward County’s future leaders

The Crockett Foundation is on a mission to build the future of Broward County, one child at a time.

Since 2002, the Crockett Foundation has positively impacted thousands of children’s lives across South Florida.

Our after school and summer youth development and coding programs have provided middle school students with the support they need to master their toughest academic challenges. These programs enable us to develop future leaders and improve communities.

With the generous support of our donors, the Crockett Foundation has helped thousands of students in our local communities graduate high school with better grades, new skills, and a fresh and more positive outlook on life.

What We Do and Why

  1. We believe that our youth should explore a Coding and Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education as they prepare for the jobs of the future.
  2. We believe that our youth deserve access to knowledge as they join the competitive academic and job markets.
  3. We believe that our hard-working youth need our assistance to reduce the financial toll that college enrollment bears on both them and their families.

Innovation Center Appropriations Bill makes it to the State Capitol

In one monumental stage of the legislative process, the appropriations bill for the Crockett Innovation Center has made it to the floor of the Florida House of Representatives. The bill requests state funding of the Innovation Center in Pompano Beach to expand access to technology and innovation to our local youth and families. The next steps will see the bill in the Florida Senate and the Governor’s office for final approval.
